Treehouse is one of the most up-to-date and user-friendly ways to learn how to program. A monthly subscription currently costs $25, and they may offer a homeschooling student discount if you email them to request it.
This online course starts by introducing how computers and the internet work, and progresses to web programming basics. At the rate of about two hours per week, it can be completed in one to two months.

If your child has an interest in programming, he or she may wish to take additional courses at Treehouse. We have included some appropriate options in later months of the curriculum.
