Unlike many art courses for children, this book follows a systematic method to teach realistic drawing as a skill anyone can learn. Though we include it in the first-grade curriculum, students of any age can benefit from participating in the projects.
We recommend reading each chapter yourself, then working through the drawing projects in order with your child. Setting aside half a day, one day per week, works well for many families, but feel free to allocate more time for art if your child has a special affinity for it.
